This photo was taken 48 hours after Hurricane Sandy had come through Union Beach, NJ and the New York Metro area. Westmont Fire Company and Bellmawr Fire Department ambulances(part of a Camden County EMS Task Force that was deployed to the affected region) provided EMS to Union Beach for 24 hours as their ambulances were destroyed during the hurricane. Most of their firefighters and EMTs had lost everything yet still manned their station with the remaining two engines they had left and continued to be polite and accommodating to us as we resided at Union Beach Fire Company for the 24 hours.
