This upcoming Saturday, on the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, the Westmont Fire Company will be holding a small, yet poignant ceremony.

We will commemorate the times that the North and South Towers were struck, the Pentagon was struck, Flight 93 crashed in Shanksville, and when each of the Towers fell, with our house siren that will activate once at each of the 6 separate times. In addition to our house siren activated for each time, Fire Company personnel will gather at the 9/11 memorial in front of the firehouse to salute those lost that fateful day.

The public is more than welcome to join us this Saturday morning at the 9/11 Memorial in front of the Firehouse. There will be no speeches at this time, just the actions described above.

Please remember, while the 9/11 Memorial may reside in front of the firehouse, it just as much belongs to each of you, the residents of Haddon Township.

“All gave some. Some gave all.”
