At 1718 Hours Station 15-1 and BLS 1557 were dispatched to 200 West Park Blvd for a reported dwelling fire.

Chief John Medes arrived on location at 1720 hours and had light smoke showing.

Chief Medes ordered Squirt 15-1 to lead off with a 1 3/4" hand line on arrival for a fire in the dishwasher in the kitchen. Squirt 15-1 responded under the command of Captain John Young and upon arrival led off with a hand line.

Chief Medes and Squirt 15-1 then found a handicap occupant inside the dwelling unable to exit the dwelling.

Communications with that report added Squad Company 16 from the Collingswood Fire Department to the assignment for water supply operations.

Squirt 15-1 and Chief Medes went inside the dwelling and removed the occupant.

Ladder 15-1 arrived and advanced the hand line into the kitchen to find the fire in the dishwasher extinguished. Engine 1512 and Squad 16 arrived and Engine 1512 layed out an obtained a water supply if it were to be needed at the hydrant at West Park and Chestnut.

EMS checked on the occupant who refused transportation.

Companies secured the power to the dishwasher, removed it from the cabinets and checked for extension.

With no extension found, the dwelling was ventilated. The scene was then turned over to the Haddon Twp Fire Marshals Office.
