Magnetic Metals 5th Alarm

At 0006 hours Ladder 15-1 was dispatched to Magnetic Metals 1900 Hayes Avenue in Camden for a Building Fire on the 5th Alarm. Ladder 15-1 responded under the command of Captain John Young with a staffing of 6.

Upon arrival Ladder 15-1 staged at 19th and River Road. Ladder 15-1 was then directed up to the fire ground and met with Battalion 1 at 22nd and Hayes. Ladder 15-1 took a position in a parking lot along with Ladder 18-3, Squirt 1351, and Ladder 16.

All aerial devices were supplied with water after the 5 inch Strike Team established a main water supply. Ladder 15-1 found heavy fire conditions coming through roof and along with other mutual aid Ladder Companies started extinguishment. Once the bulk of the fire was knocked down, Companies operating on the opposite side of the building were able to extinguish the rest of the fire in the roof area.

Companies remained on scene until 0600 hours.
