At 1827 Hours Task Force 16 (District 16, Engine 1512, Squad 51, Battalion 504, and BLS 1557) was dispatched for a reported apartment fire in the Village Square Condos at 316 White Horse Pike.

Engine 1512 responded under the command of Captain Dan Devitt with a staffing of 5. While en route companies were advised that Police were on location reporting a heavy smoke condition on the interior and asked for an expedited response. Squad 16 arrived on location and confirmed the Police report and found a working fire in Unit 106.

Collingswood Chief Keith Davis arrived on scene and transmitted the "All-Hands" Signal. Engine 1512 was ordered to take the hydrant at Magill and White Horse and lay into Squad 16. Engine 1512 arrived and established the water supply for Squad 16. Engine 1512 was ordered to stretch an 1 ¾" hand line to the unit above to check for extension.

Engine 1512 found no extension and went into Unit 106 to assist Squad 16. Squad 51 arrived on location and opened up with the interior companies. Squad 16 had the bulk of the fire knocked down and was opening up. Chief Davis placed the fire under control.
