Haddon Avenue Car Fire

At 2000 hours Engine 15-1 and BLS 1557 were dispatched to the Valero Gas Station at 339 Haddon Avenue for a reported vehicle fire. Chief Medes signed on and was advised that Police were on location reporting a vehicle well involved next to the pumps. Chief Medes arrived on location and confirmed the Police report. The Police had secured the pumps prior to arrival. Squirt 15-1 responded under the command of Captain John Young and stretched an 1 ¾" hand line for fire suppression. The fire was quickly knocked down. Squirt 15-1 remained on location wetting down hot spots and awaiting the Fire Marshal and Tow Company.
