"All-Hands" in Barrington   Photo by Ted Aurig   Photo by Ted Aurig   Photo By Ted Aurig   Photo by Ted Aurig   Photo by Ted Aurig     By Lieutenant/EMT Dan Devitt January 15, 2010   At 0840 hours Ladder 15-1 was dispatched on a Task Force 9-1 Assignment in Barrington to 121 Kingston Avenue for a reported dwelling fire. Ladder 15-1 responded under the command of Captain John Young with a staffing of four. While en route, companies were advised that it was a working house fire. Upon arrival, Ladder 15-1 proceeded to the fire ground and went into operation with venting the roof. Ladder 15-1 placed ground ladders on the Delta side of the dwelling and proceeded to the roof. Companies placed a roof ladder up and began to use chainsaws to open up the roof to relieve heat and smoke from the dwelling. Upon completion of cutting vent holes in the roof Ladder 15-1's crew reported back to the manpower pool. Ladder 15-1 was released once the fire was placed under control. Units: Ladder 15-1
