Today the Camden County Swiftwater Rescue Task Force held a meeting at Station 15-1. The Task Force was recently organized and today was the first meeting of Task Force.

Agencies attending today’s meeting were the Westmont Fire Company No.1, Collingswood Fire Department, Cherry Hill Fire Department, Bellmawr Fire Department, Camden County OEM, Camden County Communications, and the Camden County Fire Coordinators.

Each Agency brought the equipment they have for Swiftwater Rescue emergencies, and each agency went over the equipment to be familiar with the different equipment to be better prepared in case of an emergency.

The equipment that was gone over included the following, High Water Rescue Vehicles, Marine Units, Rescue Suits, Personal flotation devices and support functions.

Classroom and Practical training exercises were discussed with dates to be decided.
