At 0132 hours Task Force 16 (Squad 16, Ladder 15-1, Squad 5-1, Engine 1132, BLS 1557) dispatched to the area of Ogden and Haddon for a reported Dwelling Fire.

At 0135 hours Squad 16 and 1601 arrived on location and found a 2 ½ story Multi Use with apartments and had fire showing from the rear and transmitted the "All-Hands" signal bringing Ladder 1324 and Cascade 11-2.

1601 amended the address to 1104 and 1106 Haddon Avenue. Ladder 15-1 responded at 0137 hours with a staffing of 6 and was given the orders to start the primary search upon arrival.

At 0139 hours as Ladder 15-1 was arriving on scene, members of Squad 16 were rescuing two trapped occupants from a second floor apartment via a ground ladder and they were transferred to EMS.

Squad 16 had fire in two rear apartments and quickly knocked the fire down before entering the apartments for further extinguishment. Ladder 15-1 split the crew and started conducting a primary search in the apartments and placing ground ladders around the property.

1601 requested an additional Truck Company to the scene which brought Ladder 2. At 0145 hours 1601 reported the bulk of the fire was knocked down and Ladder 15-1 reported that the primary searches were negative.

Ladder 15-1 and Squad 51 then conducted a secondary search of the apartments with Squad 16 and started to open up and check for extension. The secondary search proved negative and 2 cats were found in one apartment and were immediately handed off to EMS.

The fire was placed under control at 0215 hours and Companies remained on scene for overhaul and equipment restoration.

Engine 1512 relocated to Station 16 for a cover and responded to no alarms.
