Camden City 2nd Alarm

At 1511 Hours Ladder 15-1 was dispatched to RMR Recycling at 1521 Ferry Avenue in Camden City for a building fire on the 2nd Alarm along with Squad 51, Squad 45 and Engine 32.

Ladder 15-1 responded under command of Captain John Young with a staffing of 6.

While Ladder 15-1 was responding to the scene, Engine 1512 was special called for additional water supply operations at 1517 hours.

Engine 1512 responded under the command of Lieutenant Matt Medes with a staffing of 5. Ladder 15-1 was then given the orders to stage at Jackson and Ferry and wait for further orders.

Engine 1512 was given the orders to take the hydrant at Broadway and Ferry and lay into the scene. Once Ladder 15-1 arrived on scene Command requested them to come to the rear of the plant and prepare to set the aerial up for master stream operations.

Engine 1512 met with Engine Company 11 and took the hydrant at 4th and Ferry while Engine 11 laid a supply line to Ladder 15-1.

Once Ladder 15-1 was set up, Engine 11 supplied the Ladder for aerial master stream operations as the fire was rapidly extending to multiple buildings on site.

Additional Engine Companies were dispatched to the scene for water relay operations as multiple Ladder Companies were being utilized for mater stream operations.

Companies operated on scene until the fire was finally placed under control.

Station 15-1 was covered by Engine 2722 from Lawnside.
