Ladder 15-1 and MVU-1 dispatched to 836 Cooper Landing Road for an apartment fire on the 2nd Alarm. Ladder 15-1 responded and was advised to stage in the parking lot and come forward upon arrival.

Companies were on scene with an apartment fire on the 5th floor with reports of multiple people trapped. Prior to arrival on scene Command transmitted the 3rd Alarm. Ladder 15-1 arrived and met with Battalion 13. Ladder 15-1 was given orders to head to the 6th floor and force entry and search the apartments on the 6th floor directly above the fire apartment.

Ladder 15-1 along with Ladder 14-1s crew made the 6th floor and found a moderate smoke condition. Ladder 15-1 forced ope the apartment door to Apartment 614 and was met with a heavy smoke condition. The primary search of the apartment was negative and Ladder 15-1 found extension to the balcony area of the apartment and requested a hand line be brought to the 6th floor.

All other apartments on the 6th floor were checked with no occupants found with a smoke condition. The smoke was removed with natural ventilation. Ladder 15-1 knocked the bulk of the fire down on the balcony with a PW can.

Engine 221 brought a line to the 6th floor and assisted Ladder 15-1 with extinguishment. MVU-1 arrived on scene and set up the fan for ventilation using the main stairwell. With no further extension found, Companies were brought from the building.

While restoring equipment a member of Ladder 15-1 found a cut in his turnout coat on the right upper arm. Once the coat was removed a laceration to the right bicep area was found. The member was brought to EMS and was transported to Jefferson Cherry Hill for treatment.

Battalion 13 who was in command was also notified. Companies then were released from the Fireground. MVU-1 remained on scene for smoke removal and once all smoke was removed, MVU-1 was returned.
