Task Force 15-3 (Station 15-1, Squad 16 and BLS 1557) along with Virtua Medics were dispatched to 1115 White Horse Pike (Cedar Court Apartments) for an apartment fire reported people trapped.

Squad 16, Battalion 15 and 15101 responded and was advised that Communications was receiving multiple reports of an apartment fire with someone still inside with residents attempting to extinguish the fire.

Squad 16 arrived and found a 2 story U shaped garden style apartment with fire showing from a first floor unit and were leading off with a 2 ½” hand line for fire suppression. 15101, Battalion 15 and Squirt 15-1 arrived right behind Squad 16. Squad 16 blitz attacked the apartment from the courtyard and then made entry into Apartment C9 for further suppression efforts.

Haddon Township Police were assisting with occupant removal and accountability from other apartments. 15101 then transmitted the 2nd Alarm. Ladder 15-1 arrived and placed ground ladders to 2nd floor units and assisted Squirt 15-1 with a primary search of the fire apartment including adjacent apartments. The Haddon Township Fire Marshal arrived on scene and began his investigation.

Once the apartment building was laddered the crew of Ladder 15-1 went to the rear to open up windows to assist fire suppression efforts and to start ventilation. The primary and secondary searches in the apartments were all found to be negative.

2nd Alarm Companies arrived on location and stood by. PSEG arrived on scene and secured the utilities in Apartment C-9. No extension was found in the fire apartment and adjacent units. Crews on scene assisted the Fire Marshal with overhaul. The fire was then placed under control and the scene was turned over to the Haddon Township Fire Marshal.
