| At 1200 hours Task Force 16 was dispatched to the Bellevue Terrace Apartments for a reported building fire. Collingswood Chief John Amet was on location reporting smoke showing.
Engine 1512 responded under the command of Assistant Chief Mike Vitelli. Squad Company 16 arrived on location and stretched off with an 1 ¾" handline. Engine 1512 arrived and established a water supply for Squad 16 400 ft away at the hydrant at Ferry and Haddon. Chief Amet then transmitted the "All-Hands" signal.
Ladder 15-1 responded under the command of Captain Frank Jackson 5th and upon arrival went to the roof to open up. Engine 1512's crew went to the 2nd and 3rd floors to check for extension and occupants in apartments. Squad 51 arrived and assisted 1512. Quint 1-1 arrived and stood by as the FAST Company.
Ladder 1194 arrived on location and went to the manpower pool. At the twenty minute report Chief Amet reported the bulk of the fire was knocked down and Companies were checking for extension. Cascade 1145 arrived and set up in the Dunkin Donut parking lot. Interior crews reported no extension and Chief Amet placed the fire under control.
The fire is under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshal's Office. |
